WHMIS
WHIMIS stands for Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System. Usually when it is required for a specific job, the employer will give you the information to complete the course. On the WHMIS website there are links to various training programs and it is a very useful tool if you're not getting WHIMIS through an employer or school

First Aid
First Aid is one of the more common training courses people receive through work. In Nova Scotia employers will either work with St. John's Ambulance or the Red Cross to have their employees complete this course.
